Bookers Root is a vibrant children’s reading and activity club based in Abuja, Nigeria, founded in 2024.
Our mission is to nurture a lifelong love for reading among children by providing engaging literary experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, confidence, and critical thinking.
Through interactive read-aloud sessions, storytelling, creative writing, educational excursions, hands-on activities, public speaking opportunities, and literary competitions, we create meaningful learning experiences that inspire children to become lifelong readers.
Since our inception, hundreds of children have participated in our programmes, exploring a growing collection of books by Nigerian, African, and international authors while building friendships and a genuine love for reading.
Bookers Root has successfully organized spelling bee competitions, creative writing challenges, educational tours, author visits, book discussions, community outreach initiatives, and literacy programmes for underserved children.
We are committed to raising confident readers, imaginative thinkers, and expressive young minds one story at a time.

Each 3-hour session is packed with:
Our sessions are not just about reading, they are about building community, growing confidence, and making learning joyful.

Bookers Root Club started as a dream from my own home.
As a mother, I discovered early on the power of books, play, and creativity in shaping young minds. I created Bookers Root to empower and give a strong foundation to children.
I wanted to create a space where they can read, imagine, create, and grow and that i did.
With every session, I watch our children come alive through stories, crafts, and learning. I see confidence blooming. I see imagination taking flight. That is what drives me.
At Bookers Root, we are not just reading books, we are nurturing curiosity, creativity, and character.
Thank you parents for entrusting me with your child.
